Vallarta Dolphin Center

Our dolphin center, located in the beautiful Puerto Vallarta region of Mexico, has provided the opportunity for humans to interact with dolphins before any other such center in the world existed. We have been training the Pacific Bottlenose Dolphin to work together with human trainers for several decades now and we offer the rare experience for our guests to experience hands-on encounters with these extremely clever animals.

The center is comprised of two capacious saltwater swimming pools, each surpassing the sizes set for similar pools in the United States, Europe and other parts of Mexico. These pools have a 2 million gallon capacity and are kept extremely clean and well filtered. Adjoining a gorgeous, natural Mexican lagoon, the center is also designed to work with the extreme fluctuations of the local tide, adjusting as the water level rises and falls.

Puerto Vallarta Dolphin Center We also offer excellent educational opportunities at our dolphin center and Dolphin Area Two has technologically advanced features that assist in watching the underwater habits of these fascinating mammals. One of the highlights of this area is a maternity pool where we keep watch over our pregnant and newly birthed dolphins, supported under special conditions and where our guests can easily and safely view them.

This same staff also leads tours through the center and assists in direct interactions with the dolphins. We are very sensitive to the needs of our dolphins and do not allow actions, such as foot pushing, that have been proven to cause harm to them.
